i have not been able to do any of the splits for several years. I have decided to regain my splits for martial arts purposes and sports in general. to do so i purchased the deluxe leg stretcher and i am going to record the progress from before it arrives every week until i have accomplished my goal.

Challenges Update: ~April 7, 2011(#2)


So the latest news in the challenges goes as follows;

-NO  UNNECESSARY SUGAR so far everything seems to be moving pretty well, i fought off tasty looking pastries in the morning and pretended to not see candy in the afternoon, does cereal count?? im going to count it, unless it is actually healthy cereal of course?

-SPLITS: stretched the splits today(April 6th) without the machine, going to use it on the 7th…  its past midnight so i don’t think i can count it even if i do it now.

SPECIAL WORKOUT PLAN- today:accomplished! tomorrow: we will do it!!!!

Challenges :UPDATE


sorry for disappearing for a while.  College exams took over the last month of my life.  I have been concentrating on all that and I haven’t posted in a while.

All of the Challenges were put on hold.  I am officially starting up the challenges again.

That includes :

-No sugar

-Splits

and I will actually be starting another more soon, having to do with a daily workout focusing on core, upper, lower, and slow motion leg movement improvement.

Alright!!!! The long awaited deluxe leg stretching machine has come in!!!!! the official starting measurements are;

 

leg length: roughly 37 inches long from point of rotation in hip.

straddle split length(from heel of foot to heel of foot): 72 inches (6 feet long)

straddle split distance from floor:8 inches

[free standing straddle split distance: 9 inches]

Right foot front split length:68inches

Right foot front split distance from ground:7.5 inches

Left foot Front split length:68 inches

Left foot Front split distance from floor:7.5 inches

 

#1 overview of goal – splits and leg stretching machines Challenge#1


i have not been able to do any of the splits for several years.  I have decided to regain my splits for martial arts purposes and sports in general.  to do so i purchased the deluxe leg stretcher and i am going to record the progress from before it arrives every week until i have accomplished my goal.

The machine should be arriving within a week or so.  Before it arrives i will record my flexibility in the straddle split/front splits before i warm up and afterwards.  Then after it arrives i will post the frequency and time alloted towards stretching with the machine both before and after a workout.

This will be a real challenge and i cannot be lazy or skip days if i want this to work.  What will make this especially difficult is that i have to manage to keep up with this and get all my college work done…
